If you’ve landed here, chances are you’re looking for something different. Maybe you’re tired of quick-fix diets that don’t last, conflicting nutrition advice that leaves you confused, or just trying to figure out what actually works for you.
I get it—because I’ve been there too.
My name is Rob, and my path to nutrition coaching is deeply personal. At 49, I didn’t come to fitness or wellness from a place of good health—far from it. Long nights as a musician, long hours sitting at a desk, and years of using food to manage stress left me disconnected from my body.
A knee injury was the wake-up call I couldn’t ignore. At my heaviest, I was carrying nearly 100 extra pounds. I lost 80 pounds—not just to qualify for surgery, but to give myself the best chance at real, lasting change. But that was just the beginning. I realized I wasn’t just changing my body—I was rebuilding my relationship with food, my health, and how I saw myself.
Losing my parents to chronic illness made that even clearer. My dad passed from colon cancer at 63, and my mom from complications of chronic disease at 69, 10 years after my father. Watching their struggles made me ask myself a hard question, would I keep repeating old patterns, or take small, meaningful steps toward real change?
Because I know what it’s like to struggle.
I know how hard it is when people say “just eat healthy” like it’s simple—and how discouraging it feels when all your doctor tells you is to “lose weight.”
I know the spiral of negative self-talk, the frustration of dealing with health issues, and how mental health challenges can make it even harder to feel better.
I started Barics Nutrition because I want people to know:
The scale doesn’t define you. Feeling better does.
You deserve to feel strong, supported, and confident—and you can reach your goals without shame, restriction, or giving up who you are.
Nutrition is not about restriction—it’s about empowerment.
It’s about finding a way to fuel your body and your life in a way that actually works for you.
I’m not here to hand you a rigid plan or tell you to be perfect.
I’m here to help you build something that lasts—something that works in your real, everyday life.
We’ll focus on progress, not pressure.
On habits that fit, not diets that break.
On helping you feel better in your body, not fighting against it.
You’ll get support when you need it, structure when it helps, and flexibility when life happens—because that’s how real change sticks.
This isn’t about earning your worth through food or fitness.
It’s about giving you the tools, strategies, and confidence to make choices that feel good for you—for the long haul.
